In-game Guidelines

1. Common Courtesy

All players are expected to treat each other with respect at all times, both in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC). Even during intense or hostile RP scenarios, everyone should remember that this is a shared space for creative storytelling — not a platform for real-life aggression or toxicity.

You may play a criminal, a cop, or a rival gang member, but your roleplay should never cross the line into personal attacks, harassment, or griefing. Keep interactions mature, fair, and in the spirit of the game. If a situation upsets you or seems rule-breaking, handle it through the proper channels (like /report or Discord tickets), not through toxic behavior in chat or voice.

Additionally, remember that behind every character is a real person — possibly new to RP, unfamiliar with the server, or just trying to have fun like you. Use patience and empathy, especially when helping new players learn the ropes.

What’s NOT allowed under this rule:
  • Trash-talking or insulting other players in /ooc, voice, or Discord.
  • Using RP as an excuse to harass or target someone over and over.
  • Acting rude or dismissive toward staff who are trying to help or enforce rules.
  • Making fun of accents, voices, or mic quality.
  • Publicly accusing people of rule-breaking instead of reporting it properly.

What IS expected:
  • Keeping OOC communication respectful, even if the RP didn’t go your way.
  • Helping new players understand mechanics and roleplay flow without sarcasm or mockery.
  • If someone breaks a rule, report it calmly — don’t try to “win” by being louder or more toxic.
  • Accepting loss gracefully in RP — you won’t always “win,” and that’s part of the story.

Example(s):
  • You lose a shootout and go to jail. Instead of insulting the cops in /ooc or Discord, you roleplay it out, and if needed, report any rule issues after.
  • A new player interrupts your RP because they’re confused. Instead of yelling “Read the rules, idiot!”, you help guide them, or report it if it’s a serious issue.
  • You’re punished by staff. Instead of flaming them in Discord or accusing them in chat, you calmly open a ticket and appeal the decision.

2. Metagaming

Metagaming is the act of using information your character could not realistically know in-character (IC), which you learned out-of-character (OOC) through Discord, Twitch streams, voice calls, or other sources. Metagaming breaks immersion and creates an unfair advantage in RP, so it is strictly prohibited.

Your character should only act on knowledge they gain through in-game interactions and believable RP scenarios. Information shared outside of the game should never influence decisions, actions, or conversations IC.

Example(s):
  • Using Discord info in-game:
You see in Discord that a gang is planning a robbery. You log in and position your character to interfere or warn the police.
  • Stream-sniping:
Watching someone’s Twitch stream to find their location, then ambushing or avoiding them in-game.
  • Using map blips unrealistically:
Seeing a friend’s blip on the map and driving there without any IC reason or communication.
  • Calling for backup without RP reason:
Hearing your gang members talk about a shootout in Discord voice chat and driving to the scene without your character being aware IC.
  • Reading /ooc or text chat for IC advantage:
If someone mentions “I’m at Legion” in /ooc or text, you can’t use that to find them in-game.

3. Powergaming

Powergaming is the act of forcing actions on other players without giving them a fair chance to respond, or performing unrealistic actions that break immersion or ignore the limitations of the game world and your character. Powergaming removes choice from others, disrupts balanced roleplay, and often involves actions that would be impossible or highly unlikely in real life — especially when done to gain an advantage.

You are powergaming if you:
  • Use /me or scripted actions to force outcomes without player consent.
  • Perform unrealistic or superhuman actions (e.g., tanking 10 bullets, picking up cars).
  • Use game mechanics in non-RP ways to win (e.g., ziptie someone mid-gunfight).
  • Refuse to acknowledge injuries, fear, or consequences that your character should reasonably be affected by.
  • Spam actions without giving time for others to react.
  • Roleplay “invincibility” or ignore failures/limits (e.g., "I dodge every bullet").

Example(s):
  • /me knocks you out, takes all your weapons, and drags you away — all in one emote with no chance for the other player to respond.
  • Using a “/me pushes you into the ocean” against someone who's armed and standing still with no resistance.
  • Breaking out of zipties or jail without roleplaying it properly or giving guards time to respond.
  • Driving a motorcycle full speed into a wall and getting up instantly like nothing happened.
  • Robbing someone in 10 seconds flat with no proper RP, or during server lag to bypass reaction.
  • Roleplaying something impossible like “/me lifts the armored truck by himself and throws it.

4. Deathmatching (RDM/VDM)

Deathmatching refers to attacking, injuring, or killing another player without valid roleplay initiation, context, or reason. This includes Random Deathmatch (RDM) and Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM). Deathmatching breaks immersion, disrupts story-driven gameplay, and ruins the RP experience for others. Every act of violence must be supported by clear in-character reasoning and realistic RP buildup. RDM is when you shoot, stab, or kill another player without proper roleplay interaction or escalation. You must engage in a meaningful RP scenario before resorting to lethal force. VDM is when you use your vehicle as a weapon without proper roleplay reasoning or interaction. Cars are not weapons unless part of a valid RP situation (e.g., someone is running for their life, and you’re trying to stop them in a last-resort scenario).

Example(s):
  • Walking up to someone and shooting them without saying a word.
  • Killing someone just because they insulted you with no build-up or threats.
  • Running over random players for fun or no RP reason.
  • Using your car to plow into a crowd without saying anything IC.

5. Robbing & Scamming

Robbing and scamming are allowed as part of immersive, criminal roleplay — but they must be fair, realistic, and properly roleplayed. These actions should contribute to the RP experience, not be used to grief, abuse new players, or exploit server systems.

You may rob and scam players as long as the following conditions are met:
  • Robberies must be fully roleplayed. You must use voice or /me commands to initiate and act out the scenario.
  • The target must have a fair chance to respond. No instant kill or "hands-up or die" tactics without proper RP escalation.
  • You must have a valid in-character reason. Don’t rob people randomly just because they’re nearby.
  • No robbing in green/safe zones, such as hospitals, police stations, or job centers.
  • Cooldowns apply. You may not rob the same person more than once per in-game day (24 Hours). You can do up to three robberies per day, but it has to be every 2 hours.
  • Value of life applies to both sides. If someone is clearly outgunned or threatened, they should comply realistically.
  • Players can take as much as they want in the robbery as long as it's in the person being robbed's pockets.
  • Can't force other players to take money out of the bank/ATM.
  • Can't scam for more than $50,000.
  • You cannot scam for vehicles or properties.
  • You cannot rob in Luxury/High-end vehicles.
  • You're allowed to sell a fake car or product (as long as it’s roleplayed properly).
  • You're allowed to set up a fake business with clear in-character deception.
  • You're allowed to run a rigged gambling or street hustle operation.
  • You cannot rob items from the Police Department and the Fire Department.
  • Heists (bank, store, etc.) require a minimum of 2 police online.

6. Character Rules

To maintain a high level of immersion and realism in RP, all players must follow specific rules when creating and developing characters. Every character you play should have a unique personality, backstory, and realistic behavior that fits within the server’s RP world.

Example(s):
  • Characters must have first and last names (e.g., Tony Marquez, Jessica Ortiz).
  • No celebrity names, joke names, or offensive words.
  • Each character must have their own role, backstory, and relationships.
  • You cannot mix roles across characters (e.g., one character is a gang leader, and your other is a cop spying for them).
  • No “meta-sharing” between characters — what one knows, the other doesn’t.
  • No transferring money, vehicles, weapons, or items between your own characters (directly or through others).
  • No “troll” or random characters made just to cause chaos or break rules.

7. Abuse of game physics

Players must not abuse or exploit in-game physics or mechanicsto gain an unfair advantage, escape RP consequences, or perform unrealistic actions. The game engine isn’t perfect, but using its flaws intentionally to break immersion or bypass roleplay is strictly prohibited. This includes glitching, bunny-hopping, climbing objects unrealistically, or manipulating vehicle and ragdoll mechanics in ways that wouldn’t be possible in real life.

Example(s):
  • Jump-spamming (bunny hopping) to move faster or avoid being shot/tased.
  • Climbing buildings or walls that are not realistically scalable (e.g., leaping from dumpster to roof with no ladder or support).
  • Vehicle flipping mid-RP (e.g., using game menus or fast entry to flip a crashed car instead of roleplaying it being wrecked).
  • Surfing on top of moving cars without falling off.
  • Sliding down stairs unrealistically to escape or travel faster.
  • Faking unconsciousness or ragdolling to avoid tasers or bullets.
  • Using “wiggle” mechanics in cuffs/zipties without RP or /me.
  • Tazing through walls or from impossible distances.
  • Exiting vehicles mid-flip to avoid a crash.
  • Abusing emotes or /e animations to clip through objects or gain cover advantage.

8. Third Party Modifications & Software

To ensure a fair and competitive environment, all players must adhere to strict rules regarding the use of third-party software and game modifications. Only server-approved mods are permitted. Any unauthorized tools, cheats, or enhancements that provide an unfair advantage are strictly forbidden.

Example(s):
The following are strictly banned and will result in punishment, including possible permanent bans:
  • Mod menus or trainers (e.g., Menyoo, Lambda Menu)
  • Aimbots or aim-assist software
  • Wallhacks or ESP (seeing players, NPCs, or items through walls)
  • Speed hacks or teleportation tools
  • Money hacks, spawn tools, or item duplication software
  • Macros/scripts that automate gameplay (e.g., auto-clickers for mining or farming jobs)
  • AI aim-enhancers or neural network cheats
  • External crosshair overlays or third-party HUDs not provided by the server
  • ReShade or visual mods that allow you to see through smoke, improve night vision unnaturally, or highlight players/NPCs

9. Greenzones

Green Zones are designated safe areas on the map where hostile, criminal, or disruptive RP is prohibited or heavily restricted. These zones are designed to provide a secure environment for new players, public services, and neutral RP interactions. All players must respect Green Zone rules at all times — violating these rules is considered fail RP and may result in administrative action. Camping in green zones is not allowed.
  • Hospitals / Medical Centers
  • Police Stations (exterior only unless a scene is active)
  • Job Center / DMV
  • Car Dealerships
  • Player-owned businesses (if approved)
  • Government buildings (e.g., courthouse, city hall)
  • Server-specific safe zones (e.g., Legion Square, public spawn areas).

10. New Life Rule

The New Life Rule (NLR) is one of the most important rules in roleplay. It governs how you must act after your character dies or is fatally injured. When your character dies (not just gets knocked out), they forget all events, people, and reasons that led to their death. You cannot return to the scene, continue the conflict, or seek revenge.
  • You lose all memory of the event that caused your death.
  • You cannot return to the scene for 30 minutes.
  • You cannot take revenge on the people or group who killed you.
  • You cannot tell others IC information about the scene that led to your death.
  • If you're downed and revived, NLR does not apply — but you must RP injuries.

11. Valuing life.

Your character must always value their life as a real person would. This means you should act with fear, caution, and common sense in any situation where your life is in danger. You are not a superhero or fearless criminal — your life matters, and your actions should reflect that.
  • You must comply with demands when faced with lethal force (e.g., a gun aimed at you).
  • You cannot risk your life over small things (e.g., a phone, a few thousand dollars, minor arguments).
  • You should show fear and seriousness when kidnapped, robbed, or held hostage.
  • If you're outnumbered or outgunned, you must comply or de-escalate unless there’s a logical, realistic way out.
  • You’re caught by surprise with a gun to your head during a robbery — you put your hands up and cooperate
  • Someone tells you to get in a car at gunpoint — you listen and play the scene out realistically.
  • You’re being held hostage — you stay calm, talk carefully, and try to survive.

12. Obscene Roleplay

Obscene, explicit, or sexually suggestive roleplay is strictly prohibited on this server. This includes any type of RP that involves graphic sexual content, disturbing scenarios, or excessively vulgar behavior that would not be suitable in a public RP setting. We aim to provide a safe, respectful, and inclusive roleplay experience for everyone. Any attempt to engage in or encourage obscene roleplay will result in disciplinary action, regardless of whether all parties involved consented.

Obscene Roleplay Includes:
  • Sexual roleplay (ERP) or simulated sexual acts.
  • Use of sex-related mods, animations, or third-party tools.
  • Excessive nudity, indecent gestures, or overtly sexual emotes.
  • Fetish roleplay, extreme or disturbing themes (e.g., torture, cannibalism).
  • Graphic or detailed descriptions of sexual activity.
What's not allowed:
  • Non-consensual roleplay (rape, sexual assault, etc.) – strictly forbidden.
  • Public masturbation, striptease RP, or anything designed to shock/offend.
  • RP involving minors in any sexual context – zero tolerance.

13. General rules

  • Respect all players and staff. Toxicity, harassment, racism, homophobia, or hate speech is strictly prohibited.
  • All criminal activity must be roleplayed thoroughly. Don't rush scenes or act unrealistically.
  • Hostages must be real players. Fake hostages are not allowed.
  • No cop-baiting. Don't intentionally try to get police attention for no RP reason.
  • Respect the chain of command. Don’t impersonate police or EMS unless approved for RP.
  • No killing or robbing EMS. They're here to help RP, not be targets.
  • Drive realistically. Don’t treat civilian vehicles like supercars or drive unrealistically fast in the city.
  • Stay in-character at all times unless using /ooc or a designated OOC area.
  • Do not talk after being downed/killed.
  • No farming or botting. All money must be earned through active RP or server-approved methods.
  • Staff have final say. Do not argue admin decisions in RP.
  • Use /report or Discord to contact staff respectfully.
  • Impersonating staff or using admin tools without permission is a bannable offense.
